It serves as the primary channel through which government policies, programmes, and activities are communicated to citizens, and as the custodian of the State’s public image and media relations.

Mandate

The Ministry of Information is charged with the responsibility of managing the flow of information between the Oyo State Government and its citizens. Its core functions include:Communicating the policies, programmes, and activities of the State Government to the public in a timely and accurate manner.Managing the image and reputation of the Government through effective public relations and media engagement.Coordinating relations between the Government and both local and international press.Overseeing government communication across digital and traditional media platforms to ensure consistency and public accessibility of information.
